1600 20th August 1813
A British hussar brigade is sent to recce Aguillar.
As they approach the town a battery of field guns open fire
on them
The French gunners prove ineffective, and fail to cause any
casualties on the cavalry.
The hussars move closer to the town and observe the enemy
deployment. They then retire to their
own lines and report on the strength and deployment of the enemy
Had the gunners caused casualties, the cavalry would have
retreated without completing their recce.
The artillery fire was calculated using Rule 7
The gunners scored a total of 6 using 2D6
